About Stainless
It goes without saying that stainless steel is not as easy to stain as iron but we would like to bear in mind that it is "hard" to stain, not steel which never stains.
Stainless steel is made with mainly iron (Fe), chrome (Cr) and nickel (Ni). Regularly speaking, the alloy including more than 11% of chrome is called as stainless steel.
Stainless property: 1. hard to rust. 2.high impact-resistant. 3. high heat-resistant. 4. easy to maintain. 5. 100% recyclable

What does SUS, JIS designed for Stainless, mean?
When you see JIS information, SUS304 or SUS430 is written. This SUS, which is stainless steel standard, stands for Steel Use Stainless.
This abbreviation is defined in Japanese Industrial Standard(JIS) and it has to have 3 digit number after it.
The first number indicates its metal category listed below.
200th: Fe/Cr/Mn Austenite type stainless steel
300th: Fe/Cr/Ni Austenite type stainless steel
400th: Fe/Cr Ferrite type and martensite type stainless steel
600th: Precipitation hardening (PH) stainless steel
Although other 2 digit does not have any specific meaning, basically it should be remembered that 304 is 18Cr/8Ni, and 430 is 18Cr and so on.
